Description:
Native to India, and used often in Ayurveda, this green and purple tinged basil is picked when flowering to enhance its aromatic properties. Very sweet and floral, the scent is almost overpowering - in a good way!

End of June to mid Oct
Tasting notes:
Warm and sweet, with notes of peppermint, cloves, liquorice, or lemon.
Storage:
Any type of Basil/ Perilla (Shiso) should never go in the fridge as it destroys the flavour. We suggest you keep it at room temperature.
