FLOURISH SPRING PLANT SALE

Our annual Plant Sale is back on Saturday 18th April from 9am - 3pm – and we’d love you to join us.

The farm courtyard will be filled with hundreds of organic plants, all lovingly grown here and ready to find a home in your gardens. It’s one of our favourite days of the year – a celebration of the growing season, shared with our community.

Here’s what to expect:

  • A wide selection of organic plants, grown on the farm and ready for planting
  • Unusual and heritage varieties you won’t find elsewhere, loved by our chef customers
  • Our expert growers on hand to offer advice and answer questions
  • Live music from much-loved local band Selkie’s Kiss who will be joining us again and playing from 11am–1pm, bringing a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere (dogs very welcome)
  • The Flourish Farm Shop bar serving local beers from Wylde Sky Brewing, alongside wines, ciders and soft drinks
  • Delicious food from Hops & Tails, with salt beef sandwiches and homemade pickles, alongside a vegan mushroom option
  • Cakes and scrumptious botanical bakes from our neighbours The Linton Kitchen

To help us keep things running smoothly, please bring boxes, trays or bags to carry your plants home, and consider walking from Hildersham or car sharing where possible, as parking is limited.

We can’t wait to welcome you to the farm – and to kick off the growing season together.

BIOSTIMULANTS WORKSHOP

On 13th June we’ll be welcoming soil regeneration expert Peni Ediker of Swn y Coed to the farm for a hands-on workshop focused on creating natural bio-stimulants and microbial preparations.

During the workshop we’ll be learning how to create a range of these preparations – from live cultures to compost inoculants and biofertilisers – which we’ll then begin applying regularly across the farm through the growing season. These biological inputs can help strengthen soil life, improve water retention, support plant health and increase resilience to pests, disease and drought.

It’s an area we’ve wanted to explore for a long time, particularly after the challenges of last year’s drought. Building stronger soil systems is one of the most powerful ways we can prepare for increasingly unpredictable weather.

Some members of the Flourish team will be taking part, but we’ll also be opening up a small number of spaces for growers and gardeners who would like to join us.

This day will combine theory, practical demonstrations and hands-on preparation making. Together we’ll explore how to transform compost into a living resource that strengthens soil health and builds drought resilience.

Costing £150, the day will include:

  • Making and using lactobacillus solutions and serums
  • Inoculating compost and creating foliage sprays
  • Preparing and applying natural biofertilisers
  • Alongside the workshop we’ll share a farm lunch and give participants a deeper insight into how we approach organic horticulture at Flourish
