We are currently recruiting for a PRODUCTION MANAGER
JOB DESCRIPTION
This is a new management role for our dynamic, fast growing farm business but will also be very hands on. Going into the 2025 season, this individual will help execute all aspects of crop production for 50+ acres of field crops and 1.8 acres of protected cropping. We are looking for a strong leader with excellent communication skills who can manage our workforce effectively. Someone who can lead by example whilst maintaining the positive work environment we have created. This individual will help us improve efficiency, develop our production systems, and work with the other members of our management team to increase our quality and capacity. This job will involve all production activities (pre harvest), including planning, land preparation, planting, weeding, irrigation, pest and disease management along with all other farm related work. It will involve tractor operation, implement use and equipment troubleshooting. We would like someone who has experience farming at scale.
Work will involve:
Beautiful thatched 2 bedroom cottage on the farm as part of package.

Tunnel grower with a focus on tomatoes
About the Role — Grower
We’re looking for a motivated, positive person to join our growing team. This hands-on role involves all aspects of producing and harvesting our crops, with a strong emphasis on heirloom and cherry tomatoes, cucumbers and other tunnel crops in the summer time. We grow an enormous number of varieties providing great scope to develop professional horticultural skills.
You’ll collaborate with seasonal workers and other team members. The role suits someone physically active, organised, proactive, and a clear communicator. A driving licence is required.
**Once trained, responsibilities include:**
1. Planting, weeding and general horticultural work
2. Preparing beds and coordinating with tractor operators
3. Harvesting and post-harvest care and storage
4. Monitoring crop health and spotting pest/disease issues
5. Keeping production records and spreadsheets up to date
6. Installing and managing irrigation
7. Working with supervisors and the office team to forecast yields and minimise waste
8. Light supervision of seasonal staff
9. Maintaining polytunnels, tools and equipment
Details
Full-time, salaried position. Staff receive a shop discount and free fresh produce. Potential for shared on-farm housing depending on circumstances.

Salad Grower
About the Role — Grower (Salad Focus)
We’re looking for a motivated, positive person to join our growing team. We grow salad 51 weeks of the year, offering great scope to develop professional horticultural skills.

Flower Grower
We’re looking for someone local to join our flower team- helping us with growing and harvesting our flowers. This is a production job- not an artistic one!
This role will require being on farm Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays working under our Flower Lead.
Growing high quality cut flowers is physically demanding and certain tasks require a rigorous pace and working to deadlines particularly on hot days. Work will involve lots of heavy lifting.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
-Harvesting, labelling and taking all flowers to walk in fridge every morning
-Maintenance of the flower field and polytunnel crops- planting, weeding, staking, checking irrigation etc
-Winter Maintenance, cutting back and participating in large jobs such as tulip planting
-Harvesting, drying and storing dried flowers
Good attention to detail, communication and organisational skills are essential as well as the ability to work well independently or with team.

FLOURISH PRODUCE LOCAL DELIVERY DRIVER
We are looking for a reliable and committed delivery driver for our award-winning farm delivering our organic vegetables and flowers to customers in the local Cambridgeshire area.
This role is comprised of 2 parts:
There are 3 shifts available per week delivering to our restaurant customers, these are usually Tuesday/ Thursday and Saturday morning leaving the farm at 6am to avoid traffic.
Depending on number of orders the route tends to be between 1.5-3 hours long. As we grow the number of customers locally, we hope this route will increase slightly.
We deliver freshly prepared Produce Boxes to homes and pick up locations across the Cambridgeshire area. This could be done on a Thursday afternoon/ early evening.

Candidates must be experienced driver, trustworthy with their own vehicle that will fit the delivery that day.

Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions are essential. You will be fully trained. We are looking for someone with a positive “can do” attitude to take on this vital role for our business.
Clean UK licence required and over the age of 25 years. Hourly rate £13/ hour. Must have WhatsApp on their phone for proof of delivery pics.
We are looking for someone to start ASAP. This could potentially be split across two drivers.
