PRODUCTION MANAGER

About Flourish Produce

The Role: Production Manager
You'll be the driving force behind our growing operations - managing all aspects of crop production from soil health through to harvest-ready plants. You'll lead a flexible team of up to 15 people, coordinating across field operations, tunnel growing, mechanical operations, irrigation, and site maintenance. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines field expertise, practical problem-solving, team coordination, and strategic planning.

Growing Operations & Crop Husbandry:

Manage field and tunnel growing operations for a diverse range of crops to organic standards
Lead crop planning, compost and green manure rotations, soil health, and fertility programs
Oversee irrigation setup, maintenance, and water management - critical in our climate-challenged landscape
Implement integrated pest and disease management programs
Ensure all crops meet our exacting quality standards throughout their growing life
Conduct regular crop walks to prioritise tasks and communicate progress to the team and wider business

Team Leadership & Site Management:

Lead and coordinate a flexible team (up to 15 people) across production tasks
Manage work scheduling, task allocation, and team training
Foster a collaborative, safety-first culture where quality is non-negotiable
Cover shifts during peak seasons or emergencies where needed
Participate in broader team management and holiday cover arrangements

Machinery, Operations & Problem-Solving:

Oversee machinery and vehicle operations and maintenance
Troubleshoot growing challenges - weather resilience, crop health, operational bottlenecks
Take ownership of site management, health and safety protocols
Work innovatively within our organic system to flexibly solve challenges

Collaboration & Communication:

Work closely with the Harvest Manager on crop forecasting and planning
Communicate effectively across multiple areas of the farm and with different team members
Support the business with accurate production data and insights

About You
Experience:

Practical, hands-on farm or horticultural operational experience (no specific qualifications required, but real experience is essential)
Demonstrable knowledge of organic growing systems, crop husbandry, and soil health
Experience managing teams and coordinating multiple priorities
Competency with machinery and mechanical problem-solving
Comfort with both field and protected (tunnel) growing environments

HARVEST MANAGER

The Role: Harvest Manager
You'll orchestrate the entire harvest-to-customer journey - ensuring our diverse produce reaches customers at peak quality, on time, and in the exact condition they expect. You'll manage crop forecasting, harvest logistics, post-harvest operations, order fulfilment, quality control, and have oversight of the relationships across our multiple customer channels. Leading a flexible team of up to 15 people, you'll be the backbone connecting our growers to our customers, managing timing, quality, and communication across every step.
This is a fast-paced, dynamic role that demands precision, problem-solving under pressure, and genuine passion for quality.

Harvest Management & Quality Control:

Plan and execute harvest schedules to meet customer deadlines and quality standards
Conduct crop forecasting to anticipate harvest volumes and timing
Lead harvest operations ensuring produce is picked at optimal ripeness and handled with care
Manage quality control across all harvested crops - inspecting, assessing, and rejecting substandard produce
Oversee bulk winter harvest planning and storage protocols
Ensure food safety protocols are embedded in all harvest and post-harvest operations

Post-Harvest Operations:

Manage the pack barn team and post-harvest washing, grading, and packing operations
Ensure produce is packed to exact customer specifications
Coordinate packing logistics to meet time-critical deadlines (e.g., early morning collection for chef visits, time-sensitive deadlines when heat affects quality)
Oversee storage and traceability of all produce through the supply chain

Sales, Customer & Supplier Liaison:

Communicate directly with the sales team regarding customer availability, stock, and any quality issues
Host chef visits and showcase our produce to customers, communicating the care behind each crop
Manage wholesale sales of excess produce to wholesale partners
Source and purchase supplemental produce from our farm partners when required
Build and maintain strong relationships across a diverse customer base (restaurants, florists, shops, farm shop)

Team Leadership & Logistics:

Lead and coordinate a flexible team (up to 15 people) across harvest, packing, and post-harvest tasks
Manage work scheduling, task allocation, and team training
Foster a collaborative, quality-focussed culture where precision and care are non-negotiable
Liaise and communicate with our night delivery drivers (10pm–5am London runs) - ensuring smooth coordination and feedback loops
Cover shifts during peak seasons or emergencies where needed
Participate in broader team management and holiday cover arrangements

Collaboration & Strategy:

Conduct regular crop walks with the Production Manager to anticipate harvest readiness
Communicate harvest forecasts and operational needs to the Production Manager
Contribute to strategic planning around crop selection and diversity

About You
Experience:

Practical, hands-on farm or horticultural operational experience (no specific qualifications required, but real experience is essential)
Demonstrable experience managing harvest operations, packing, or post-harvest logistics
Experience managing teams in fast-paced, time-sensitive environments
Knowledge of food safety principles and quality control in fresh produce

PACK BARN COORDINATOR

As Pack Barn Coordinator, you'll be an essential link in the chain of our daily operations. You'll oversee everything that happens between harvest to delivery. You'll handle the delicate, specialist produce we grow—understanding how each variety needs to be handled to ensure every order reflects the care we've invested in growing it.
This is a hands-on role. You'll work amongst the produce—from sun-warmed tomatoes in summer to muddy leeks in winter—moving at pace and solving problems as they arise. You'll be part of a small, close team (3–5 people) with diverse backgrounds, thoughtful and considerate colleagues, and you'll connect daily with our field team, harvest crew, and office. You're the operational linchpin that makes the farm's relationships with London's best restaurants work.

Day-to-day pack barn operations and logistics;
Fulfilling customer orders with accuracy and care;
Stock management, stocktakes, and supply purchasing;
Post-harvest produce storage;
Coordinating with restaurant and wholesale customers— upselling, managing expectations, providing updates;
Maintaining our quality standards so every order honours the work of the growing team;
Liaising with delivery drivers and supporting logistics;
Training new pack barn assistants;
Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed.

Who You Are
This would be a great role for you if you're motivated, and efficient. You enjoy working fast but care deeply about quality. Full days: Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Mornings: Tuesday, Thursday. (The schedule is based on our ordering and farm cycles and is firm.)

FIELD SCALE GROWER

We are looking to hire a grower for our field scale vegetable production on our multi-faceted, Organic farm.
This role will have responsibility for aspects of producing a large range of organic crops for direct sales and for wholesale on our 80 acre farm. The role will be working in partnership with other team members. It will involve a large portion of tractor work so confidence and safety with machinery and equipment is essential.

The position will involve working independently on machinery in addition to coordinating with others in various group tasks such as bulk harvesting, supporting contractors and helping in other areas of our farm when required.

We’re looking for someone dependable, proactive and detail oriented who enjoys working efficiently and is excited about working on a farm of our scale!

Schedule and prioritise work on our field scale production: cultivation, transplanting; weed and pest management; irrigation and harvesting.
Monitor and be accountable for the progress of all field work
Train and work alongside the team as needed to ensure timely completion of daily tasks
Manage record-keeping,
Use and maintenance of mechanised farm equipment;
Adhere to and support the adherence of farm Health and Safety

Due to the nature of this work, you will be willing and able to work in all weathers and be flexible to work on a rota including some Saturdays, 6am & 6pm.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 2 years of experience on a commercial farm
Ability to safely operate tractors and other farm equipment
Ability to lead and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Comfortably able to lift 25kg
Physical stamina and good dexterity
Fantastic communication skills and experience supervising other team members
Valid driver's license required to fulfil job duties

FULL TIME ORGANIC GROWER

As an Organic Grower, you'll be part of the team responsible for growing the diverse range of crops throughout the seasons. This is a hands-on, farm-based role, working outdoors throughout the year and alongside an experienced growing team.
Given the scale and diversity of our farm, the work changes with the seasons. One day might involve sowing and planting, another harvesting, weeding or preparing beds. You'll get involved in all aspects of the growing cycle, from establishing crops through to harvest, as well as general farm tasks and maintenance.
You'll receive training and support from the wider growing team, while gradually taking responsibility for particular crops, areas or tasks. We're looking for someone who is keen to learn, takes pride in their work and wants to develop their skills as a grower.

Sowing, planting and establishing crops;
Weeding, crop maintenance and crop protection;
Harvesting a wide range of vegetables, herbs and salads;
Preparing beds and carrying out general field work;
Irrigation
Supporting post-harvest handling and packing of produce;
General farm maintenance and seasonal tasks;

Who You Are:
This could be a great role for an experienced grower looking for their next farm, or for someone earlier in their career with the right attitude and a genuine passion for growing.
You'll be positive, proactive and flexible, with the ability to adapt as priorities change. You communicate well, work effectively both independently and as part of a team, and are comfortable working hard and staying calm under pressure.
Commercial growing experience is preferred, but we're open to people with less experience who demonstrate enthusiasm, commitment and a willingness to learn.

SALAD GROWER

We’re looking for a motivated, positive person to join our growing team. This hands-on role involves all aspects of producing, harvesting and packing crops, with a strong emphasis on salad production. We grow salad 51 weeks of the year, offering great scope to develop professional horticultural skills.

You’ll work across tunnels and field-scale production and collaborate with seasonal workers and other team members. The role suits someone physically active, organised, proactive, and a clear communicator. A driving licence is required.

Planting, weeding and general horticultural work

4. Monitoring crop health and spotting pest/disease issues
5. Keeping production records and spreadsheets up to date
