Description:

An ornamental garnish, used traditionally in Japanese cooking with fish, rice and vegetable dishes. Has a floral and fresh flavour.

Seasonality:

End of June to early Oct

Tasting notes:

Bright taste, reminiscent of mint or basil. It also has hints of cinnamon, anise, and coriander.

Storage:

Any type of Basil/ Perilla (Shiso) should never go in the fridge as it destroys the flavour. We suggest you keep it at room temperature
