About our Radicchio Variegata di Castelfranco

A wonderfully decorative chicory with green leaves blotched red and forming an inner loose head of red and white in autumn. An ancient variety developed in the 18th century in the Castelfranco region of Northern Italy.

end of Sept - March

Tasting notes:
It has a fresh and a delicate taste that is sweet to pleasantly bitter and a crisp texture that makes this chicory so special.

Storage:
We avoid using single use plastic as much as possible here at the farm, however salads and greens will last for longer if kept in an air tight container in the fridge. Keep out of direct sunlight.
