A very vigorous, dark green plant that produces jumbo-size florets which resemble mini heads of broccoli, and have an excellent, sweet, broccoli flavour.
Seasonality:
Early May to mid July and end of Sept to mid Nov.
Tasting notes:
Mild, somewhat sweet flavour. Eaten raw, you'll find a hint of mustard spice, but this dissipates, and it gets even sweeter when cooked. Its texture is also more like asparagus than traditional broccoli.
Storage:
Keep in the fridge.
