K is for Kale

Autumn is truly making its mark on the farm this week, with beautiful scenes across the fields as the days start to shorten. The first frost arrived this week, which sadly means a fond farewell to most of our basils and fresh cut flowers. But it’s not all endings: our kales are turning gorgeous hues in the chill and we’ve got beautiful dried flowers coming to the Farm Shop to keep the colours alive indoors.

The team has been hard at work weeding our radicchio fields, which are looking more impressive by the day. And the squash harvest has begun – a sure sign that autumn comfort food is here (find a stunning selection in the Farm Shop now). The crop planning for next year continues, with the team reviewing varieties, deciding what to keep and what exciting new ones to try. It’s one of our favourite times of year – full of possibility.

Thank you to everyone who came down to see us at The Regenerative Food Festival at Parker’s Piece, Cambridge, on Saturday. It was great to meet so many of you.
